• Every Sunday during the school year (and every other Sunday during the summer) at the 9:45 AM Mass, we provide a Children’s Liturgy of the Word. 
   

  After the Opening Prayer, all children in grades 1–5 are invited to come forward to the altar steps to receive a blessing from the assembly.  From there, they process to the Day Chapel, where they participate in a Liturgy of the Word program prepared specifically for them.  The Scripture readings are the same ones that are read in the main Church, except they are a children’s translation.  This Liturgy of the Word also contains a homily reflection and intercessions.  The children then return to rejoin the congregation at the Procession of the Gifts. 

  
  Our parish’s Children’s Liturgy of the Word strives to make the part of the Mass of God’s Word in the Scriptures, more understandable to our children.
