The Backpack Ministry at St. Columban is once again at work to support students in need for the upcoming school year. We help St. Columban students, L.I.F.E., Loveland Initiative, and St. Augustine. Due to Covid-19, we will be managing things differently than in past years. First, we will only be collecting filled backpacks and will not be collecting individual school supplies. Additionally, we will be accepting monetary donations that will be used to support the schools and organizations efforts to meet the needs of their students. Second, we will not have tags in The Gathering Space as we did in the past. Information will be sent to those interested in purchasing a backpack. If you are interested in making a donation, here are the details: 1) If you would like to buy a backpack and fill it with supplies, please contact Ann Millacci by email at ann.millacci@gmail.com or by phone at 677-0806. She will provide you with the information you need including the grade level of the student and a list of supplies to fill the backpack. 2). If you wish to make a monetary donation, you can do so with either cash or a check made payable to St. Columban Parish. Donations can be dropped off at, or mailed to, the parish office or dropped in the collection basket at masses. Whichever way you choose, please place the donation in an envelope clearly marked “Backpack Ministry.” All donations are due by Sunday, August 2. Thank you in advance for your continued support of the Backpack Ministry!
