Mission Statement: The mission of the St. Columban Stewardship Commission is to provide the parish community with a coordinated effort to increase awareness of faithful stewardship as a way of life, as well as to give practical methods to live it out, both personally and communally. All that we have and all that we are is a gift from God. We promote intentional, planned and proportionate giving of time, talent and treasure as a way to deepen our relationship with God and become better stewards of God's gift of life and the blessings given to each of us. "As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace." ~ 1 Peter 4:10
Theme: Lord, what do you want me to do with all the gifts you have given me?
The Stewardship Commission is excited about our theme. Throughout the year we'll be developing programs and sharing ideas based on this theme. Stewardship is based on spiritual principles of the Old Testament and Jesus’ teachings, and a way to thank God for all God’s blessings. It is a way to deepen our relationship with God and involves intentional, planned and proportionate giving of our time, talent and treasures.
